Music legend, Phil Collins, artist, Romero Britto, and jewelry designer, Orianne Collins Mejjati, all came together on December 4, 2013 at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, FL to support Collins’ charity, Little Dreams Foundation. The foundation announced that it will be extending a chapter to Miami, allowing a whole new group of children from South Florida to follow their dreams based on talent, motivation and enthusiasm. The conference included a Q&A with South Florida media and press addressing every question regarding the charity in general and their plans for growth to impact more children’s lives.

Sponsors at the conference included Northern Trust, AIG, NSI Insurance Group, Kobi Karp, Vista Construction and Orianne Collins Jewellery. Phil Collins stated, “We’re giving kids with the same kinds of ambitions I had solid ways to prepare [for a career in their chosen field."

Miami is a community experiencing a historic explosion of growth in interest, focus and attention toward the arts, with support of this movement coming from all over the world.  The time is perfectly suited to building an organization to create incredible opportunities for South Florida kids with talent and big

dreams. Romero Britto, Brazilian-American neo-pop artist, stated "I am proud to be a part of this organization and look forward to developing local artists with the Little Dreams Foundation."

Through training and mentorship, “The Little Dreams Foundation plans to help local children realize their dreams starting with a new class of 2014 Little Dreams Kids,” said co-founder Orianne Collins Mejjati.

With two kids of their own, Phil and his ex-wife, Orianne Collins, chose to expand in Miami as  Orianne and their children have made Miami their new home. “I feel connected to the community and see so much potential to make a difference in the lives of children here,” said Orianne. “Talent abounds and resources to develop that talent are plentiful. All we need to do is set up our systems, complete the audition and selection process, and match children with mentors and a customized training program to get them started.”
